Rotenone is an organic natural substance, biologically active with insecticide power that acts by contact and or by ingestion over insect's nervous system, avoiding its normal development, inhibits cellular respiration causing paralysis and finally death (by inhibition of acetocolinesterasa).
It is biodegradable, since it does not leave residual toxic effects for men's health and the environment like other chemical pesticides do.
